Our Full Code of Conduct

The One Web For All Kick-off Hackathon is co-hosted by Double Union, and we use a slightly-adapted Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment policy for our event. The original policy can be found on their official Double Union Policies page.

Our full hackathon policy:

One Web For All and Double Union are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, class, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of people at our events or space in any form. Sexual language and imagery should only be used for women-positive purposes in accordance with best practices advocated by professional sex educators (if you’re not sure what those are, don’t do it). People violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event and location at the discretion of any staff member, or any New Relic (the location host) representative.

Harassment includes:

  • Offensive verbal comments
  • Sexual images in public spaces
  • Deliberate intimidation
  • Stalking
  • Following
  • Photography or recording without consent
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome sexual attention

People asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Any behavior or action experienced as harassment will be responded to as such.
